10/25 YEAR ASSESSMENTS

As defined by Australian Standards, AS2550.1-2011, the need for a Design Working Period Assessment is required. This should be carried out in conjunction with a third-party inspection by a competent person.

If the Design Working Period is unknown, and has not been previously assessed in accordance with the above standard, a major 10 year (mechanical) or 25 year (mechanical and structural) is deemed necessary.

 

A/ Theoretical part:

Analysis of remaining design life of components must be conducted, considering past use and duty classifications.

 

B/ Practical part:

A detailed inspection of all critical components and safety systems to assess integrity and functionality.
